With 7 out of 10 adults in the USA being by definition “Overweight”, and about 1 in 3 individuals falling into the category of “Clinically Obese”, Americans are on a crash course with sickness, disease and incapacitating health conditions like never before. 

The majority of the patients I see in my office for weight loss are also dealing with either Type 2 Diabetes, Hypothyroidism or both.  People who are dealing with a chronic weight problem are also heading fast towards heart disease, cancer and many other debilitating conditions.  The time to get it under control is now.

Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts to maintaining an ideal weight. However, there are right and wrong ways to go about it and one thing is for certain:  a sick body cannot and will not lose weight and keep it off. That is what this website is all about.

Be aware that some of the issues that I deal with on this site have to do not only with weight but with health as well. The brutal truth is that you cannot really control your weight until you begin to get healthy.
